A. What’s the solution ?

Mosquitoes grow in stagnant water. They spread diseases like malaria, dengue, and chikungunya. Steps are to be taken to stop their growth.

Ans: The following steps must be taken to stop mosquito growth:

(i) Clear the stagnant water in and around your house.

(ii) Keep the rain gutters and drains clean.

(iii) Empty, drain, or cover all things that can and may hold standing water.

B. Think and tell.

(1) A beetle is an animal that flies. But is it a bird or an insect?

Ans: A beetle is an insect.

 

(2) What is common between a fish and a chameleon? 

Ans: A fish and a chameleon both lay eggs.
