The television is a very useful invention. Today, nearly everyone has a TV set in their homes.

The television can be useful as well as harmful. We get the latest news from different parts of the world. We get information about science and history. We get to see different exciting matches. We can watch cartoons and films too.

However, sometimes children neglect their studies to watch TV. Instead of playing healthy outdoor games, they sit in front of the TV. Their health and their eyesight suffer due to this.

Our teacher tells us that we must watch only good programmes, and that too for a short time. Then the television will be useful and not harmful.
