Day 292/365 : If it costs your inner calm, it’s too expensive.

If it costs your inner calm, it’s too expensive.

Sometimes people think success only means money, fame, or power. But true success also means being at peace inside. When you achieve something that steals your calmness, it doesn’t feel like success at all. Imagine working long hours at a job that pays you well but leaves you restless, stressed, and unhappy. Even though others might see you as “successful,” deep inside you may feel empty. That’s why anything that takes away your inner peace is far too costly to keep.

Think about a student who studies hard for exams. If the student spends so much time worrying about marks that they cannot sleep, smile, or enjoy even small things, then that achievement comes at the price of peace. Real growth comes when you learn to balance both hard work and peace of mind. Having calmness makes every success meaningful, because you can actually enjoy it without fear or tension.

Peace is like a soft pillow that allows you to rest well, even after a busy day. It lets you handle challenges with a clear mind. True success should always add to your happiness, not take away from it. If it disturbs your calm, it is not worth chasing.
