Ans: Burning wood is a burdensome task as it gives out a lot of smoke. Moreover, trees are chopped for wood that is used for burning. So it is harmful to our environment.

Ans: The advantages of using gas for cooking are:
(i) It is easy to use.
(ii) It lights up quickly.
(iii) It does not give out smoke.

How is khoya made from milk? Write out the information and present it to the class.
Ans: Khoya, also known as mawa or khoa, is dried evaporated milk solids. The milk is slowly simmered in a large iron kadai till all its moisture evaporates and it reduces to solids. In Indian cooking, especially in the northern parts of the country, khoya forms the base of almost all sweets.
