Lesson 31 - Be a Writer - 2

The Story Before and After

(A)

Look at the picture carefully. What does it show? Are the animals holding a meeting? What could be the reason?

Try to imagine what must have happened before and what is likely to happen later.

Form groups. Discuss your ideas. Then each one of you should write his/her story separately.

You may give the animals names, and describe their qualities in short. Use conversation in your story.

(A) The Strong and the Weak

It was a meeting of all the smaller and weaker animals in the forest. Bunny, the rabbit, and Bushy, the squirrel, had called the meeting. “We are being troubled by all the bigger animals,” said Bunny. “We should do something about it.”

Monty, the monkey, who was holding onto a branch of a tree, nodded his head vigorously. “Yes, I agree,” he said. “We must call someone wise to help us.”

(B)

Look at the picture carefully. What are these people? Where are they going? What are they carrying? Why? Try to answer these questions using your imagination.

Form groups. Discuss your answer and try to build a story around this picture, as a group activity.
