Reasons:

(1) In a mountainous region, the amount of rainfall and the speed of wind are quite high. Therefore, in such a region, a house made up of clay, mud, sticks, etc. would not be suitable. In such a region, a house made up of bricks, stones, cement, and roof tiles would be suitable.

(2) In a mountainous region, there is less plain surface land available. Therefore, in such a region, a small multi-story house would be more suitable than a big single-story house.
