The Fox and the Grapes
Somewhere in a dense forest, a fox was walking around on a sunny afternoon. He spotted a beautiful grapevine trailing along the bark and branches of a tree.
The fox was filled with joy as the grapes looked tasty and ready to burst with their sweet juices. The fox was very hungry and tried to reach the tasty grapes. But the grapes were too high to reach, and hence the fox decided to jump and reach the lowest branch. He tried and tried, but in vain.
The hanging grapes appeared close, but when the fox tried to jump and pluck them, they suddenly seemed very far away. The poor fox tried again but had no luck!
He gave up and looked at the grapes and said to himself, “Those grapes are probably sour.” “In fact, I don’t like grapes,” he said, and he went back to his place.
