Dear Teacher,

               I am writing this letter to tell you that I am extremely sorry for what I did. I know you are very angry with the class for making a terrible noise yesterday. But really, it isn’t the fault of the others. It was I who was responsible.

               I had brought a snail in a matchbox. Somehow it got out, and Johar saw it on the floor. In the next few minutes, all the students left their places to see it. It took some time before we could get it back into the matchbox.

               You were angry when you walked in. You punished the whole class. Teacher, please forgive everyone, especially me. I will never do such a thing again.
