Dear Uncle,

Thank you very much for the wonderful birthday gift you sent me. I was so happy and surprised to receive the violin. I had wanted one for a long time and your gift has made me very happy.

The violin classes I attend are really enjoyable. I am learning well and hope to move to the next grade soon. Having my own violin is very important because it allows me to practise regularly at home. I had been asking my father to buy one for me, but he kept postponing it. Thanks to you, my wish has finally come true.

My friends often visit me now and enjoy listening to me play. They all think that the violin is a lovely gift. I sincerely thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
