Dear Mom,

We reached the camp at Lonavala safely yesterday evening. There are sixty students here from our school and we’re all having a great time.

Our first task was to cook dinner for everyone! I was in the cooking team and honestly, it was harder than I thought. We had to light the fire outside and the wind kept blowing it out. There weren’t enough vessels, so we had to take turns. I remembered watching you in the kitchen and that really helped. We finally managed to make khichdi and sabzi and everyone enjoyed it.

Last night we had a campfire. We sang songs, performed skits and I did a dance performance with three other friends. Everyone clapped so much! Today we went for a trek and also learned first aid and tent pitching. We’re having lots of fun, but I do miss home. The food, my bed and of course, all of you!

We’ll be back on October 30th by evening. Give my love to Papa and everyone.
