Dear Riya,

I was happy to receive your letter and read about how you spent your Diwali vacation. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.

My holidays were also very enjoyable. During the first week, I spent a lot of time playing games with my friends. We played cricket in the evening and enjoyed indoor games like carrom at home. We met each other often and had a great time together.

I also watched two movies with my family. The Diwali celebrations were full of joy and excitement. I got new clothes, enjoyed delicious sweets and burst crackers with my cousins. We decorated our home with colourful rangolis, diyas and festive decorations.

One of the best parts of the vacation was a three-day trip to Mahabaleshwar with my family. We visited many beautiful places and enjoyed the pleasant weather. The holidays passed very quickly and before I knew it, school had reopened. Now I am busy with my studies again.
