Dear Rahul,

It has been almost two months since I last heard from you. I was expecting a letter or message from you, but there has been complete silence. I know you must be busy with your studies, but I am sure you can spare a few minutes to write to a good friend.

Our examinations will end on the 24th of this month. The summer vacation begins on 2nd May. I would be very happy if you could spend the whole vacation, or at least a few weeks of it, with me. Last year, you had mentioned that you wanted to spend your holidays here with me. So, this is a warm invitation for you to come.

We have many things planned for the holidays. We can play cricket, watch movies, attend get-togethers with friends and go on short outings. My family is also planning a week-long trip to Matheran. The pleasant weather and beautiful surroundings there will make the vacation even more enjoyable.

Do write back soon and tell me about your plans. If you are coming, please let me know the details so that I can make the necessary arrangements. Please convey my regards to your parents.
