Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. Here in India, the weather has turned quite cold as winter is at its peak.

James, I was thinking that it would be wonderful if you could visit India in the New Year. We are going to celebrate Makar Sankranti on 14th January. It is one of our popular festivals and you would enjoy watching the colourful kite-flying events. The sky looks beautiful with kites of different shapes and colours. You could even try flying a kite yourself. I’m sure you would enjoy it.

You can stay with us during your visit. My parents would be very happy to welcome you as our guest. Think about my suggestion and write back soon. If you are interested, we can plan everything in detail. Please discuss it with your parents and let me know what they think.
