Dear little birds,

I felt really sad when I noticed that many of you are leaving our neighbourhood.

I understand why you’re going. The air quality has become worse because of too many vehicles and construction dust. The noise from traffic and loudspeakers must be disturbing you. Even the trees where you used to nest are being cut down.

We promise to do better. We’ll plant more trees in our society. We’ll use bicycles and public transport more often. We’ll request the authorities to control noise pollution. We’ll also set up bird feeders and water bowls for you.

Please don’t leave us. You’re such an important part of our lives. Your chirping in the morning makes us happy. Without you, our environment feels incomplete. We need you here.
