The Fruits Of Labour Are Sweeter Than The Gifts Of Fortune

the fruits of labor are sweeter The Fruits Of Labour Are Sweeter Than The Gifts Of Fortune

What is received as a gift or what is inherited from the parents is never as charming or important as the things achieved by us through our own efforts and labor. The sweetness acquired through ‘sweat’ will be much sweeter than the sweetness given to us by someone. Nothing tastes so sweet as that which is earned by hard labor. ‘By the sweat of thy brow, thou shalt earn thy bread’, was the divine wish. The things achieved by hard work will be more permanent, more delicious, more lovable, more enjoyable, and will render us real happiness.

Anything acquired by the grace of God or by luck will not give us real enjoyment and respect because this fortune does not have anything of its own. History remembers those who changed the path of adversity through their hard work. The world adores those who make their own fortune and set examples for others. Abraham Lincoln, Dhirubhai Ambani, etc. are several examples of people who achieved success through sheer hard work, and so they are adored today. ‘Honest labor bears a beautiful face’.
