My school is quite far from my house. I cannot walk to school like many of my friends can. I travel every day by bus to school. It is a journey of about twenty minutes. Sometimes I get a seat, sometimes I don’t. The bus conductor is always Mr. Jagtap. He is a nice, friendly person who knows me very well. I have a student’s pass, and he never asks me if I have a ticket.

The bus takes the same route every day, and I know all the landmarks along the route. Sometimes interesting people board the bus. Once, a pan-chewing fisherman got into a long fight with the conductor. He had to be forcibly removed from the bus.

The bus is generally on time, and so I am never late to school. Once there was a bus strike, and I couldn’t go to school at all. I look forward to my journey to school by bus every day.
