The first day at school is always exciting. This year, it was very different too, for it was my first day in the secondary section. I am now in the fifth standard.

Our school reopened after the vacation on June 15. I went neatly dressed to school. I arrived on time. As it was raining, I had my heavy raincoat with me.

I met all my old friends and made some new ones. The boy who sits next to me stays very near my house. His name is Shibu. We get along very well.

Our class teacher is Mrs. Annie. She is very soft-spoken and clever. She teaches us English. We hardly had any studies on the first day. I went home very happy.
