Eid is the festival of Muslims. It is celebrated twice a year. One is known as Ramzan Eid and the other as Bakri-Eid.

Ramzan is the period of fasting for Muslims. The people offer prayers all day and break their fast after sunset. After a month of fasting, the day after the new moon is Ramzan Eid, which is celebrated.

Bakri-Eid is celebrated in memory of Hazrat Ismail’s sacrifice. On both Eid days, the people wear new clothes. They go to the mosque and offer prayers. They visit friends and relatives and greet them.

Eid is the time for Kheer, Biryani, and Sewai. Both days are days of rejoicing for the Muslims. Others join in their happiness on these days.
