Everyone should have a hobby. A hobby helps us relax and enjoy our free time after a busy day. Different people have different hobbies. Some enjoy listening to music, while others like reading books. My hobby is philately, which means collecting and studying postage stamps. Whenever I have some free time, I take out my stamp albums and spend time looking through them.

I became interested in this hobby when I was only seven years old. On my birthday, my uncle gifted me a stamp album. I was excited to see the colourful stamps neatly arranged in it. I loved opening the album and looking at the beautiful collection. That was how my interest in stamp collecting began.

As I grew older, I started asking my relatives and friends to save stamps for me. Some of my friends used to laugh at my hobby, but I never minded. Today, I have nearly twenty-three albums filled with stamps and many of them are rare and special.

Over the years, I made friends from different places who enjoyed exchanging stamps. Because of this, I now have stamps from many countries around the world.

My hobby gives me great pleasure and relaxation. It has also helped me develop an interest in geography and history, subjects that I once found boring. To a large extent, I owe my good performance in geography and history to my hobby of stamp collecting.
