My Best Friend
‘A person is known by the company he keeps,’ goes an old saying. That is why one should be careful while choosing friends. Many people are friends only when things are going well, but true and trustworthy friends are rare.
I have many friends in school, but not all of them are equally dependable. Among them, Rahul is the most sincere and honest. He is my best friend.
Rahul is tall, healthy and good-looking. He is friendly, kind, cheerful and always ready to help others. He does well in sports and is also a good student. In spite of his many abilities, he is never arrogant or disrespectful.
Rahul is a hardworking boy with a caring nature. He feels deeply for people who are poor, sick or facing difficulties. He dreams of becoming a doctor so that he can help those who do not have easy access to medical care. He hopes to work in a village or a remote area where his services will be most useful. He often says that helping people selflessly is one of the greatest duties in life.
I feel lucky to have a friend like Rahul. His friendship has added great value to my life. I always try to be as good a friend to him as he is to me. Yet I know that his kindness and friendship can never truly be repaid.
