The computer has become an important part of everyday life. I too enjoy spending time on it. I have an Internet connection and whenever I find a school topic difficult, I search online to learn more. I especially like looking up information about animals, birds and nature. Often, for our project work, the teacher asks us to collect information, pictures, or details about writers, scientists, or great leaders. At such times, the computer and the Internet are very useful.

Another thing I enjoy is creating digital cards and pictures on the computer. I like adding colours and designs to them. Especially during festivals, I make greetings to share with friends. I also make special cards for my parents on occasions like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

I also like playing computer games. I have a few interesting games that require concentration and quick thinking. I do not spend too much time on them, though, because I have schoolwork to complete. But when friends visit, we enjoy playing a few games together.

Even though the computer is useful and fun, it does not take up too much of my time. Books, paper and pen are still more important in my life. I still have a lot to learn and there is still much time to go before I become a computer addict.
