If I Were a Teacher
1
Sometimes my mother asks me to help my younger brother, Aryan, with his studies. I really enjoy doing that. However, teaching one child at home is very different from teaching a whole class. This often makes me wonder what it would be like if I were a teacher.
The subject I would most like to teach is Mathematics. It is one of my favourite subjects and I find it quite easy to understand. I would try to show my students that Mathematics is not as difficult as many people think. I would use charts, pictures and simple activities to explain topics clearly. I would even have a special “shopping” activity where some students act as shopkeepers and others as customers. Through this, they could learn addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in a fun and practical way. I would use plenty of examples and make learning Mathematics enjoyable.
I would conduct different kinds of tests to make sure my students have understood the lessons well. I would also ensure that they learn their tables properly. Sometimes, I would ask them to write them down for practice. I would try to complete most of the learning in the classroom itself and give only the necessary homework.
I would never punish my students, as that might make them dislike the subject. Instead, I would be patient and explain things carefully until everyone understands. At the same time, I would not allow indiscipline or bad behaviour. I would be kind, but firm when needed.
Perhaps one day I will study Mathematics further and become a qualified teacher in a good school. Until then, I can only imagine what I would do if I were a teacher.

I am not trying to praise myself, but I have always done well in my studies. I also enjoy helping my classmates when they find a subject difficult. Many of them tell me that I explain things clearly and that I might make a good teacher one day. Because of this, I often imagine what I would do if I became a teacher in the future.
If I were a teacher, I would try to set a good example for my students. I believe that students learn more from what a teacher does than from what a teacher says. Instead of giving long lectures about honesty, discipline, and hard work, I would follow these values in my own daily life. I would be regular, sincere, and always willing to help students who need extra support.
My goal would not be only to complete lessons but to make sure students truly understand them. I would listen to their difficulties and guide them with patience and care. A friendly and supportive teacher can inspire students much more effectively than one who is always strict. I would make my classes interesting by using stories, practical examples, and modern teaching methods so that learning becomes enjoyable. I would also check students’ work carefully and encourage them with positive comments.
Education is not limited to textbooks alone. Students also learn through activities beyond the classroom. Therefore, I would help organize sports, debates, art programs, educational trips, school magazines, and community activities such as tree-planting and cleanliness campaigns. These experiences would help students develop confidence, teamwork, and important life skills.
Becoming a teacher is one of my dreams. I would devote myself to learning and teaching so that education becomes a source of happiness and growth for every student.
