How Beautiful is the Rain!

Rainfall is one of nature’s most delightful sights. After the long months of scorching heat, the dark clouds gather and sheets of rain cover the land, cooling the earth and filling it with life again.

Flashes of lightning brighten the sky, followed by the rolling sound of thunder. At first, only a few drops fall, then showers and soon heavy rain pours down in waves. Streets begin to overflow and little streams rush happily through lanes and bylanes.

Trees and plants look fresh, as if covered with shining pearls of water. Birds take shelter in branches, while insects chirp in the background. When the rain pauses, the breeze carries the sweet smell of wet soil and soon the showers begin again, sparkling in the light of the sun or moon.

Children enjoy the rain the most. They jump into puddles, play with splashes and float paper boats in the flowing water, cheering when the boats sink or race ahead.

The fields turn green and the farmers smile with relief, grateful for the rain that nourishes their crops. The air becomes cool and refreshing and the whole land looks alive again. Truly, the rainy season is one of the most beautiful gifts of nature.
