Village Life

village Village Life

My uncle Somu stays in Mumbai. He always talks about the city, and I wanted to see it. So, once, my father took me to Mumbai city to spend a few days with my uncle. My stay over there convinced me that there is nothing better than village life.

Here, in this small village of Kolshet, where I stay, time stands still. People are not in a hurry. We are happy if our basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter are satisfied. There is no mad rush for money. And the air – how fresh and clean it is! There is greenery all around, and the smell of the wet earth in the monsoon is wonderful. The sight of the various birds flying in the sky is so peaceful. And I would not exchange the pleasure of loving our cow, Gauri, for anything in the world.

When I grow up, I want to lead a farmer’s life. None of your city’s hustle and bustle!
