One of the most important functions in our school is the prize distribution function. It is usually held in the third week of December. This year, we celebrated it on the 19th.

Preparations were on all through December. The great day dawned at last. By 6 p.m., all the seats were occupied by parents and guests. The mayor was the chief guest. He was welcomed, and the programme began with a prayer and an Aarti dance. The items presented by different classes were interesting and colourful. The most anticipated item was the prize distribution. The chief guest’s wife, a very charming lady, gave away the prizes. Everyone clapped.

The programme ended with the national anthem. Everyone cheered when the headmaster announced that the next day would be a holiday.
